Hi, I’m Brenda.

Before creating The Philly Curator, I spent nearly 40 years in marketing with Fortune 500 companies — Black & Decker, Campbell Soup, DuPont, Newell Brands, and IFF. Those years taught me how to listen closely, understand what people value, and design experiences that feel thoughtful and beautifully paced. That foundation shapes everything I curate today.

But the heart of The Philly Curator started long before my career.

I grew up in Lancaster County, surrounded by farmland and quiet roads, which made my first childhood trip to Philadelphia feel electric. I was seven, and the city felt like another world — cobblestones, grand museum steps, the energy of the streets, and dinners that felt impossibly exciting to a kid from the countryside. Something sparked in me that weekend.

Even after moving to the suburbs as an adult, I kept returning to the city — dinners, theatre, art openings, festivals, long wandering days through neighborhoods I loved. What began as childhood curiosity became a rhythm of my life: exploring Philadelphia with intention and learning its personality in a way only time can teach.

Several years ago, we finally moved into the city, and living here every day only deepened that connection. Walking its streets, keeping up with new openings, noticing the subtle shifts from neighborhood to neighborhood — it’s given me a lived‑in understanding of Philadelphia that feels both intimate and ever‑expanding.

Today, I use that connection — and decades of experience designing meaningful moments — to create itineraries that feel personal, effortless, and tailored to you. Whether you want a slow, intentional weekend or a full cultural immersion, I design days that feel like exploring Philadelphia with a local friend who knows exactly where to go and why it matters.

The person on the right is smiling, wearing a navy blue jumpsuit and high heels. They are both waving.

Yes, I have a crush on Ben Franklin. Check out my instagram account called Finding-Ben-In-Philly to see the over 200 selfies I took with Ben’s image and/or name
